Riptide

Riptide [Book]

I read it for the first time about 10 years ago when my reading mania picked up with a vengeance. It was my first book by this author and I have loved her books ever since. This is one of her FBI Thrillers that features married couple agents Savich and Sherlock. The story of Becca Matlock who, to escape a stalker threatening her life in New York, decides to hide out in the small town of Riptide, Maine. It's a great story and there are some fun moments, but you can tell the writing is from another era, and if you're used to contemporary thrillers, the characters will not seem very deep; almost like "B-Actors".
However, it was written over 15 years ago, so as the FBI series goes on, the writing style matches up to its time and becomes more contemporary.
